This policy explains how blucrow (“we”) handles your personal information when you use blucrow.co and sign up for our email challenge and newsletter. We’ve kept it short and in plain language, because we collect very little.
Your email address — the only information you actively give us, when you sign up through the form on our site.
Basic technical data — our email platform automatically records limited technical information, such as your IP address at signup (kept as proof of consent), the approximate location derived from it, and whether our emails are opened or links in them are clicked. We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on this website.
We do not collect names, payment details, precise location, or any sensitive personal information, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. We do not collect any information about you from third parties.
We use your email address to:
We use the technical data to keep the service secure and to understand, in aggregate, whether our emails are being read.
Our legal basis for this (under the EU GDPR) is your consent, which you give by signing up. You can withdraw it at any time — every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising.
Our emails and signup form are run by Kit (Kit.com / ConvertKit LLC), a US-based email platform that stores and processes subscriber data on our behalf under its own privacy and data-processing terms. Because Kit is in the United States, your data is transferred outside the EU; this transfer is protected by recognized safeguards (such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses). No other company has access to your data, except if we are ever legally required to disclose it or if the project changes ownership — in which case this policy still applies to your data.
For as long as you’re subscribed. If you unsubscribe, your address stays on a suppression list (so we don’t accidentally email you again) and residual records are deleted in line with our email platform’s retention practices. You can also ask us to erase your data completely at any time.
Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA and UK), you have the right to:
To exercise any of these, email us at hi@blucrow.co — that’s all it takes. If you believe we’ve handled your data unlawfully, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
If we change how we handle your data, we’ll update this page and revise the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll mention it by email.
